Frequently asked Questions

What are your rates?

Current rates are $180 per 53 minute session.

I offer a 30 minute complimentary introductory phone session for all new clients. Payment is due at the time of service via credit card.

Do you accept insurance?

As an out of network provider, I do not accept insurance; however, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. If you reach out to your insurance company, they can tell you how much they will reimburse you for my services. My license number is LH61379680.

If you plan to do this, check with your insurance first to determine if this is a possible option for you.  Following are some helpful questions you might ask your insurance provider:

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?

  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

  • Does my insurance plan require that I see providers on their panel?

  • Do I have a flex spending account and can I use it for payment of mental health services?

  • Ask your carrier to provide you with a list of providers near you, based on your zip code.

  • Is approval required from my primary care physician?

  • If I have mental health benefits, are out-of-network benefits included?

  • Is any pre-approval required before obtaining out-of-network mental health services in order to be reimbursed?

Do you provide testimony for divorce, custody and/or visitation/parental access support?

I do not participate in or provide support for custody hearings, custody/access disputes, visitation or divorce proceedings. These matters are not within my scope of practice.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

To be able to meet the needs of my clients, a predictable schedule must be in place. If you are late for an appointment, you will be seen for the remainder of your scheduled time and will be charged for the full session as scheduled. If you are unable to keep an appointment, please provide 24 hours advance notice; otherwise you may be charged for the time that was reserved for you. The exception to this policy is an emergency, such as weather or accident, or the unexpected onset of illness. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding this policy.  Thank you for your understanding.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

In 2021, Congress passed the No Surprises Act to protect people from unanticipated healthcare costs. The cost of therapy is transparent and my rates are listed above. As a client, you will receive a Good Faith Estimate which includes a diagnosis (if applicable) and an estimated total cost of therapy services. Additionally, you have the right to discontinue therapy at any time.
